Coroners confirmed Thursday, April 14, 2022, that the death of Ariana Taylor, a missing woman whose remains were discovered this week, was an accident.
Taylor’s mother reported her missing last week after the SUV she was thought to be driving fell down a hill along Interstate 65 near the boundary of Lake Station and Gary.
After a car was located below the I-65/80-94 junction on Sunday, April 3, police and family members searched for the mother for more than a week. Taylor was meant to be the last person with the car, according to the vehicle’s owner.
A K9 team discovered her remains in a small drainage ditch near the collision scene on Wednesday.
Earlier her cause of death was recorded as injuries from a motor vehicle collision compounded by drowning, according to an autopsy performed.
Now Taylor’s death has been ruled to be an accident.
She was dating while she was alive. The said young man has not been disclosed by Ariana’s mother.
The 23-year-old was a mother according to credible sources. However, the number of kids Taylor had is not known since her family has kept mute about that aspect of her life.
